December 3-7, 2018

ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

• December 6 - Christmas Play at 10:00am and 7:00pm

• December 19-January 2 - Christmas Vacation. No School. 

SCHEDULE:

• Friday: Field trip to see the Grinch at the theater.  

A NOTE FROM MRS. EADES: 

There will not be a memory verse test until after the Christmas play. Students will receive a weekly grade in Bible for the quality of their participation and behavior during play practices. 

November 12-16, 2018

ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

• As part of our Thanksgiving celebration next week we will be having an “Ice Cream Sundae” day. Each student is asked to bring $2 to class on Tuesday to help with the cost of our celebration.Thank you so much!

• November 12 - Veteran's Day observed. No school. 

• November 14 - Thanksgiving Dinner for families in the school cafeteria. Please return your reservation and time selection to the school office by November 13. 

• November 16 - Early dismissal at 12:00pm. There will not be Lion's Den or public bus transportation. All students will need to be picked up. 

• November 19-23 - Thanksgiving Vacation. No school. 

• December 6 - Christmas Play at 10:00am and 7:00pm

• December 19-January 2 - Christmas Vacation. No School.

• Friday:  Spelling Test 

A NOTE FROM MRS. EADES: 

There will not be a memory verse test until after the Christmas play. Students will receive a weekly grade in Bible for the quality of their participation and behavior during play practices. 

All students will need to bring a pack of 4x6 or 3x5 index cards to school by Tuesday, October 30. These will be used for their research paper. **Some students have still not brought these to class.**

Send a note to school saying you read this blog and your child will earn 2 tickets.

• November 6 - NLCA will be in session on Election Day. 

• November 7 - Veteran's Day Chapel at 8:15. Everyone is welcome to join us. 

• November 8 - PTF Meeting immediately after school. Everyone is invited to join us in making plans for the holidays. 

• November 12 - Veteran's Day observed. No school. 

• November 16 - Early dismissal at 12:00pm. There will not be Lion's Den or public bus transportation. All students will need to be picked up.

Today was an amazing day! I am so proud of sixth grade and their behavior at the library and LaCaretta! Please commend your students for how wonderful they were!

There are a lot of tests and quizzes this week. Please make sure your children are studying every night at home. I will also review with them in school. 

We experienced some "off" behavior this week - more than normal. Please talk to your children about their behavior at school. I want every child to succeed.

• September 28 - Grandparent's Day. Grandparents will gather in the New gym from 8:00 to 9:15 for light refreshments. Student presentations will begin at 9:30.  All students will be dismissed immediately after the program.

• September 18 - We will have a speaker from the Gideons visiting our class and distributing full-length Bibles to each student. 

• September 25 - School Literature Fair. All students should be reading their book and beginning to create a plan for their project. Students will receive a reading grade for their project. 

• September 28 - Grandparent's Day (more details will come soon). All students will be dismissed immediately after the program. 

• If you have not returned your School Store fundraiser packet there is still time to do so. Any child who returns there packet will receive a prize!!

ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

  

• September 11 - We will be having a ceremony to honor our country and the many families that lost loved ones on 9/11.  You are welcome to attend.  We will meet around the flag pole at 8:30, and the ceremony will start shortly after. 

• September 25 - School Literature Fair. All students should be reading their book and beginning to create a plan for their project. Students will receive a reading grade for their project. 

• September 28 - Grandparent's Day (more details will come soon) 

• Elementary Chapel will be held each Wednesday from 1:45-2:15 in the New Gym. On the last Wednesday of the month, the elementary will join the secondary for a cooperate chapel from 8:00-8:45. Parents are always welcome to attend.

Everyone seems to be adjusting nicely to the new school year. Thank you to for all you have given to our classroom. We are so blessed! Have a wonderful weekend, and I hope I see some of you at the Potato Festival!

• Chapel services for elementary students have changed to Wednesdays at 1:45 p.m. The last Wednesday of each month, we will join with the secondary for a corporate chapel at 8:00 a.m.. Families are welcome to attend.
