• December 4-8 - Christmas Store on display in the school library. Students will have the opportunity to visit the store during their recess. 
• December 5 - 12 Days of Christmas begins (see calendar below for theme days) 
• December 14 - Christmas Play - 10am and 7pm (All students will be dismissed to go home immediately after 10am performance.) 
• ALL SIXTH GRADERS will need black pants, a black shirt and black socks to go underneath their costume. They will need to wear these on December 13 for rehearsal and again on December 14 for the actual performance.

• HOMEWORK - Read chapter 4 of Billy Sunday and write 5 a five sentence summary about the chapter. 
• October 10 - **If not finished in class, History page 61-62 (letters B and E), as well Health Page 96 (letters A and C) are homework. The health assignment was from Monday, but some students are still not finished. These are both graded assignments. 
• October 11 - History Test 
• October 13 - Spelling Test on List 6; Memory Verse test on John 14:6; Billy Sunday Vocabulary Test

 ANNOUNCEMENTS

• October 3 - The NLCA Literature Fair will be held on Tuesday, October 3.  Students will be able to set up their projects that morning, and take them home when school ends.
• October 6 - A Grandparents' Day Celebration will be held on Friday, October 6.  Exhibits will open at 8:45 AM. Students will be dismissed for the day at the conclusion of the program.
• October 13 - Early Dismissal at 12:30pm 
• There will not be a spelling or memory verse test this week due to the literature fair and Grandparents' Day.

Planners Needed

As the school year is progressing, I am finding that many students would probably benefit from having a planner to write down their weekly quizzes and tests. Also, I think this would help students remember any unfinished class assignments that they need to complete at home. Not every student is having uncompleted assignments, but some do; therefore, I am not going to post unfinished assignments on the blog to avoid confusion for the parents of the students who have completed an assignment in class. In advance, thank you for everything you do to help your child, and I hope this helps everyone to achieve success.
