ANNOUNCEMENTS:
  • Thursday, December 19th is our Christmas party at 11:30am in the New Gym foyer. We will be exchanging stocking stuffers at the party. You will need to bring in a stocking and 9 items of your choice to place in the stockings of the others in our class. Parents are encouraged to join us for the party! 
  • Friday, December 20th is an early dismissal. All students need to be picked up by 12:00pm. 
  • December 21-January 5 is Christmas break. We will return to school on January 6, 2020.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
  • The Christmas Play will be held on December 12th at 10:00 AM 7:00 PM. Students will need to bring their clothes to be worn under their costume by Monday, December 9.  Everyone is to bring black socks, black pants, and long sleeve black shirts.   
  • On the day of the play, ALL STUDENTS will be dismissed immediately after the morning performance.  The school van will run, but there will be no public bus that afternoon.  Everyone must be picked up by noon.  Students need to return to their classroom by 6:30 PM on Thursday evening.

As we head into November, the month we tend to express our thankfulness more often, I want you to know how very thankful I am for each one of you. You bring me great joy and make my job incredibly rewarding. I am so thankful to God for letting me teach at NLCA and in sixth grade! There is no other job I'd rather do!! .

We will leave the school at 11:45am and return at approximately 1:00pm.  After lunch, we will return to the classroom for an ice cream bar and a movie. A NOTE FROM MRS. EADES: 

At the end of January, the whole elementary will be reading, Because of Winn-Dixie. In sixth grade, this book will take the place of our curriculum reading book. Each student will have their own copy and will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities. If you have any ideas or if you would like to contribute materials for an activity send me a message. 

Please don't forget if your child has been throwing up or had a temperature greater than 98.6, they need to be free of both of these symptoms for 24 hours before they return to school. This is very important to ensure that we keep the spread of illnesses at bay as much as possible. 

1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 is our memory verse for the month of January. There will be a test on these verses near the end of the month. Please don't wait to memorize them.
