COVID-19 Work Packet #3


Hello Sixth Grade!!

Thank you so much for all your hard work on last week’s packet! You all did a great job!
Below are the instructions for our packet #3. This work will be due May 1, 2020.

When submitting photos or videos, please send them to my email. This will enable me to be able to keep everyone’s work in one location. Also, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me. My email address is leades@nlca.info.

When you submit your work use the following suggestions:
  • Open notes on an iPhone, click to create a new note, choose the camera icon and take a picture, choose "scan document," continue to snap pictures until all of your work is photographed, choose save,  click the arrow at the top right of the screen to send the document, email it to your teacher.
  • If you do not have an Android, use the "Genius Scan" app.  
  • Attach your Word document to an email that you send to your teacher.

Bible: Because there is probably not going to be a senior chapel, Mrs. Lucky has requested all students to write one word they feel describes each senior. Please keep your words positive. Seniors are listed below. Please have your parent send me an email with each senior’s name and the word you choose to describe the senior.

Reading/Spelling: Word Wisdom pages 136-153. Please have your parents take a picture of the pages you complete work on and email them to me. (Note: Be sure to follow directions carefully on pages 141 and 145.)

Health: Please click on the following link (https://kidshealth.org/en/kids/ismovie.html) and watch the video about your immune system. After you have watched the video, take the quiz and have your parent email me your score.

History: Please select one of the following lesser-known Bible characters below to research. Then create a video report for your person. Have your parent email your video to me. If you are unable to create a video, you may answer your questions in an email. My email address is: leades@nlca.info
In your report be sure to answer the following questions:
·        Who is the person?
·        What happened in their life?
·        Where in the Bible did you find an explanation of your character?
·        How did God work in their life?
·        What lessons can you learn from their life?
·        What questions do you still have about your character?
·        Which Bible verse inspired you the most while learning about your character? Why?

COVID-19: Work Packet #2


Hello Sixth Grade!! 

I miss you guys!!! I want to commend you for a job well-done on your first work packet. I was very proud of each of you for your hard work.

Below are the instructions for our new packets. This work will be due April 21, 2020. The majority of the work is online through Khan Academy; therefore, I will be able to monitor your progress as you work.

When you submit your work use the following suggestions:

Bible: Please select five of the following activities to complete at home. Once you have completed them, please have your parent email me to confirm each activity you completed.
Read a book to a sibling
Read a devotion to your family
Make your bed and the beds of your family members
Assist with dinner preparations
Fold a load of laundry
Check on someone from your church
Write a letter to someone you haven’t talked to in a while
Spend 10 minutes reading your Bible
Create a prayer list and spend some time praying over it
Call a grandparent, aunt or uncle and share a conversation over the phone
