Happy Easter!

A couple of announcements as we head into Easter break. Several students are getting low grades on their Bible memory verses each week. Please remind your child to memorize their memory verse each week before Friday morning. 

Also, we will have a test on the prepositions on Tuesday April 14.

 ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• Change for 4th nine weeks - In an effort to prepare sixth grade for their experience in the secondary, students will no longer be permitted to turn assignments in late for the fourth nine weeks. The secondary teachers require students to turn their assignments in according to the set due date; therefore, I want to do my best to provide a time of preparation for this change that sixth grade will experience next year. 

• Please make sure your child is studying at home for their weekly memory verse test every Friday. There are several students who have been trying to memorize the verse at the last minute on Friday morning. Thank you.

 ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• On Friday, February 13, sixth grade will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with a pizza party and movie. Students are welcome to exchange valentines. Everyone will need to bring a gift bag to class for collecting their valentines and treats.

  To help offset the cost of the party, $4 is requested from each student. Please return money to Mrs. Eades by Wednesday, February 11. Thank you so much!

Snow Day Information

Hello, sixth grade! 

For today's snow day assignments, I would like you to complete the following assignments:

• Bible - practice memorizing Proverbs 3:5-6
• You will say this verse for a grade on Tuesday, February 10. 
• Spelling - study the words on List 16 for a test on the day we return
• Math - complete the multiplication page you were given in class yesterday  
• Science - complete the study guide for test 2

Stuffed Animals, Coloring Books & Crayons

As part of NLCA's Spirit Week celebration, each class will participate in a community service project from February 2-6. Sixth grade's project is to collect small stuffed animals, coloring books, and crayons for children visiting the emergency room at Summerville Regional Medical Center. 

Due to the nature of the distribution, all items must be new. Items will be given to the emergency room and handed out by the nursing staff. 

I am very excited about this project, as I hope these items will bring some comfort to each recipient. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Together, we can bring smiles to the faces of children in our local hospital!
