COVID-19 Work Packet #4

Hello Sixth Grade!!

Thank you for completing last week’s packet! You all are doing a great job!

Below are the instructions for packet #4. This work will be due May 8, 2020.

When submitting photos or videos, please send them to my email. This will enable me to be able to keep everyone’s work in one location. Also, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me. My email address is leades@nlca.info.

When you submit your work use the following suggestions:

• Open notes on an iPhone, click to create a new note, choose the camera icon and take a picture, choose "scan document," continue to snap pictures until all of your work is photographed, choose save,  click the arrow at the top right of the screen to send the document, email it to your teacher.
• If you do not have an Android, use the "Genius Scan" app.  
• Attach your Word document to an email that you send to your teacher.

Reading/Spelling: Word Wisdom pages 154-157 Please have your parents take a picture of the pages you complete work on and email them to me.

Health: Please click on the following link ( https://kidshealth.org/en/kids/ears-movie.html?ref=search) and watch the video about your ears. After you have watched the video, take the quiz and have your parent email me your score.

Math and Language: Assignments are listed on Khan Academy. To access your assignments, please follow the steps below:

·        Go to: https://www.khanacademy.org/join/4Q8HFTWF

·        Click: log in to your existing account

·        Enter the username and password that was given to your parent

·        Select “Assignments” on the left side of the page

·        Begin completing videos and assignments

·        All work is due by May 8, 2020

I miss you guys!!! I want to commend you for a job well-done on your first work packet. I was very proud of each of you for your hard work.

Below are the instructions for our new packets. This work will be due April 21, 2020. The majority of the work is online through Khan Academy; therefore, I will be able to monitor your progress as you work.

• Read a book to a sibling
• Read a devotion to your family
• Make your bed and the beds of your family members

• Write a letter to someone you haven’t talked to in a while
• Spend 10 minutes reading your Bible
• Create a prayer list and spend some time praying over it
• Call a grandparent, aunt or uncle and share a conversation over the phone

COVID-19: Work Packet #1

Hi Sixth Grade!

I miss you and hope all of you are doing well.

I wanted to give you a quick reminder that all work for the COVID-19 take-home packet is due tomorrow, March 30, 2020.

Please email me pictures of all your work (unless you have set up a different method with me). Oral book reports may be recorded and sent via email, messenger or text. Grades for this work will be reflected on the third nine weeks report cards.

Oral Book Report

Hello Sixth Grade! 

I hope you are all well and enjoying your extra time at home. I've been asked about presenting the Oral Book Report, and so I've thought about it and came up with a little option for those who'd like to use it. 

If you would want to video record your Oral Book Report for your research paper and email it to me, you are more than welcome to do so. I'll watch it and respond to you as soon as I can. 

Please note: this is completely optional. No one is required to do this, but if you want to get your oral book report out of the way before we return to school, this is an option.

Hey guys! I hope all of you are doing well. I miss you and keep thinking about you! I'd love to hear from you. Send me a picture of something you've done this week. If you have a prayer request, please send me that, too! I'd love to add your requests to my prayer list.
