Dress Clothes Needed

This Friday, October 3, 2025 we will be recording a class presentation for Grandparents' Day. All sixth grade students need to wear dress clothes for this recording. After the recording, if anyone needs to change clothes, they may, but we would like for everyone to be dressed nicely for the recording. Thank you so much!

Homework for August 21, 2025

Hello!

Sixth grade is off to a wonderful start! I am so excited about this class. Everyone is working hard and performing well in class. There are a few items for homework this evening. 

Me Bag - Please remember to fill your "me bag" with four items that tell about you and bring it to class in the morning. We will share what is inside our bags with the rest of the class tomorrow. 

Language - Be prepared to identify the four types of sentences (page 5) and write an example sentence for each. 

History - Please read pages 6-9 (section 1.3) and answer the Comprehension Check 1C questions in your history notebook.

Memory Verses

As part of our Bible curriculum, each student is required to memorize selected portions of Scripture. Students will highlight and/or mark the assigned verses in their Bible whenever they are given. They will then use their Bible for memorizing the verses; therefore, it is imperative that they have their Bible with them in class every day. Scripture selections will include single verses, as well as partial passages. During Bible class, we will practice reciting the verse(s) one or two times. However, the majority of memorization will need to occur at home. If a student finishes an assignment in class early, they may work on memorizing the verse independently.

Snow Packet for 2/21/25

 

IMPORTANT!

Please refer to the snow packets below for work that needs to be completed and turned in whenever we return. Also, we had a history test scheduled for Wednesday. I told the class on Tuesday, if school was canceled due to snow, we would take our history test the day we return. Please remind your students to study for this test. We will take it, along with the Philippians 2:10 and our spelling test the day we return.
